To become an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, each of the doctors at Valley Oral Surgery has completed four years of college to earn an undergraduate degree, as well as a four-year program in dental school to receive a General Dental degree. In addition, each doctor has completed a comprehensive three to four year residency program in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Drs. Grim, Popowich, Laski, and Cernansky have each become Diplomates of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This is the highest academic distinction that an oral surgeon can obtain. Continuing Education

The doctors at Valley Oral Surgery are kept abreast of the latest techniques available in the specialty by ongoing and active continuing education. All the doctors are certified by the State of Pennsylvania to offer intravenous anesthesia. In addition, the doctors maintain certification in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS). Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at Valley Oral Surgery is comprised of experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery personnel who assist in surgical procedures and intravenous anesthesia. Each staff member is certified in CPR and have a certification in Dental Assisting as part of the ongoing continuing education program at Valley Oral Surgery.
